“Faces in the Dark” A Mesmerizing New Las Vegas Musical Experience

LAS VEGAS  – January 16, 2024

The world premiere of “Faces in the Dark”, an original musical-dramatic-comedy, will be performed at the Clark County Library Theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, on February 16th (7:00 p.m.), and 17th (2:00 p.m.), 2024.  The script and songs are written and directed by Dr. Kathleen Kristy Brooks, former member of The Platters and writer and producer of the successful musical, “The Soul of Rock N Roll”.  The production’s musical director, Uli Geissendoerfer, is a Grammy nominee, Downbeat award winner, and UNLV professor.  The orchestration and musical arrangements were created by Kenny Seymour, current Musical Director of the Broadway production, “Ain’t too Proud to Beg: The Life of the Temptations”.  

Faces in the Dark explores the complexities of human relationships, the allure of the unknown, and the power of self-discovery. With a dynamic blend of haunting melodies, powerful lyrics, and breathtaking choreography, this musical promises to push the boundaries of the theatrical arts, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats.  It will engage audiences in an educational and thought-provoking manner, encouraging them to reflect on the historical, philosophical, artistic, and social developments that have shaped human civilizations over time.  

This “Humanities Spotlight” event brings this cultural enrichment to the community via open public auditions, workshops, training and culminating live performances with our partner, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.  The musical is presented as a free community service over two days in the Clark County Library’s 399-seat theater.  

 Love Outreach Inc, a Registered 501(c)3 Nevada non-profit organization has been blessed with great opportunities to initiate theatrical performances, workshops, and senior citizen performances for the community with several grants from Nevada Arts Council, Nevada Humanities, and The Library District.  

It has been Love Outreach’s vision to create change healing the world thru arts programs and educational content that makes meaningful contributions to the community.
